On behalf of the Board of Directors, we would like to inform you of the change in the position of the Executive Director of the Institute for Education in Democracy (IED).  

Ms. Elayne Okaya - a Board Member has to step in into the Executive Director with effect from 1st May, 2017, pending recruitment of a substantive Executive Director. This follows the resignation of Mr. Brian Weke who served IED with dedication and commitment in that position for the last four years.

I sincerely wish Brian well and GOD’s blessings in his future endeavors. I also call for support for and cooperation with Ms Okaya as she steps into this position.
